07/01/09 Happy Tuesday!

Well, it was on the 30th of June anyway. My thanks to 40North for inviting me to play for part of the evening's festivities. The performance included some very talented modern dancers. That experience was very new to me, but I received a flattering amount of positive feedback. Be sure to check out today's News Gazette if you haven't already. We were featured on the front page! 06/30/09 SOME SHOW ADDED

Hey all,

I have added some new shows for July. Also, tonight I will be playing a set as part of the "Happy Tuesdays" event sponsored by 40North at 7pm in the Taylor st. Plaza. (outside Cowboy Monkey). This one will have a new twist... Modern Dance!... No, not me! But three very talented people interpreting my song into movement. I'm a bit nervous for that, but I love experimenting. A little excited actually. Join me if you can!

06/23/09 A STATE IN NEED

As many of you know already know, the state of Illinois is considering drastic measures to deal with it's unbelievably high deficit. It is a challenge that will require some sacrifice, however, one of these sacrifices should be completely out of the question... The state of Illinois is considering cutting the budget allowed for social services by 50%. Keep in mind this state already ranks 51st in the United States in funding for community residential Developmental Disability services. We cannot afford to loose what we have. Please think of how this will affect you and the ones you love. I encourage you all to take some time and look into this matter and contact your local legislature as soon as possible.

03/27/09 BONEYARD AND TWITTER

Hey guys,

I am taking a little break from the Boltini gigs. I'm taking some time to write some more songs and make more Art for the Boneyard. Thanks so much to all who came out and made Monday nights more fun than they have a tendency to be. And thanks so much to Robb Tobias and company for providing me a space to do my thing. They have always been extremely supportive of me.

So, getting geared up for the Boneyard Arts Festival. I will be playing at the new venue in downtown Champaign called INDIGO, which will be taking over the space of the old furniture lounge. This will be an art space with many cool things on the walls. Check the shows section for details.

Also, I am now on Twitter. Look me up! My profile name is "JasonmBentley". Yes, I am a late bloomer when it comes to these things! Still getting used to it... I would love it if you might have some tips to brighten my experience. Shoot me an email.

03/09/09 GREAT TIME AT BENTLEY'S

Hey all,

It was an absolutely beautiful night and the show at Bentley's Pub last Friday was a time to remember. Cara Maurizi started things off smoothly and brilliantly, and our mutual friend Suzy Requarth offered some excellent lyrical rhythms. I had a great time playing tunes for everyone. Thanks to Bentley's Pub for being such a great place to play in, and thanks to everyone who was a part of making it a rockin' night.

02/21/09 BENTLEY AT BENTLEY'S

I will probably be asked if I, or my dad owns this place... I definetely do not, nor does my dad, but I have been invited to play a gig there. How suiting! Bentley's pub has only recently introduced live music on weekends, and I have already heard great things about it.

Also on the bill is Cara Maurizi. She is a beautiful talent with a beautiful voice. I'm looking forward to this one!
